Hoe Liefde Danst brings seventeen timeless Brazilian classics to life in Dutch, transforming the rich heritage of composers such as Antônio Carlos Jobim, Ivan Lins, Luiz Bonfá, Roberto Menescal, Francis Hime and Marcos de Vasconcelos into a poetic and deeply expressive listening experience.

Translated with great care by Famke Sinninghe Damsté and arranged by Roeland Jacobs and Hans Vroomans, this album forms a unique bridge between Brazilian music and Dutch lyrical storytelling. The result is a refined and emotional collection where one central theme connects every track: love in all its forms.

This extraordinary production features an ensemble of thrirteen vocalists and two rhythm sections, consisting of some of the finest artists from the Dutch and international jazz scene.
